Position Summary:
Dyson College of Arts and Sciences of Pace University is seeking applicants for tenure-track faculty positions in the Department of Psychology’s Mental Health Counseling Program at the rank of Assistant Professor to begin September 2025.
The successful candidate will teach graduate-level courses in the Mental Health Counseling Program, advise students, and conduct research in counseling, counseling processes, and counselor training. A demonstrated commitment to student-centered learning and excellence in teaching is required.
Candidates should be committed to graduate education and be prepared and able to offer classroom instruction and appropriate mentorship to each of the department’s graduate constituencies, including the ability to guide doctoral students in their dissertation research.
The successful candidate should be prepared to develop, initiate, and successfully implement a program of scholarship in collaborative efforts with senior researchers in the department. Preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate advanced knowledge of research methodology, particularly within the area of qualitative research. The successful candidate should also demonstrate active involvement in professional counselor education.
The ideal candidates will possess the following:
Applicants must have a PhD in counselor education or mental health counseling from a CACREP-accredited program. Preference will be given to candidates who are licensed as LMHC (or LPC) or are eligible for such in New York State.
